Update Regarding COVID-19

Date: 3/16/2020

As our region, nation, and the world continue to adapt and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the PHRC team is still here to support the residential construction industry in Pennsylvania and beyond. Certainly, our procedures and plans will continue to adapt to the needs of our team and our community. However, the PHRC team will continue to work diligently to provide resources, training, and assistance to our audience and stakeholders.

Outlined below are some key changes to our PHRC operations over the coming weeks:

  1. The entire PHRC team will be working remotely for the foreseeable future. This has two direct impacts relating to communication:
    • Our offices at University Park will be closed until further notice.
    • The best way to contact someone on our team will be via email. Staff directory available here.
  2. Our team’s travel to meetings and events will be significantly limited moving forward, including speaking engagements with local associations. If you have a previously scheduled engagement with someone from our team, they should be reaching out to you directly to discuss alternative arrangements.
  3. The PHRC recognizes that many builders, design professionals, and code officials will have events and training programs canceled over the coming weeks. Our team plans to step in where possible to provide additional webinars and other remote training opportunities to fill these voids. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Through all of these changes, our top priority is the health and safety of our team, their families, and our communities. The PHRC team wholeheartedly believes in this industry; one that is resourceful, resilient, and vital to the future of our region. If there is ever anything that the PHRC can do to support you through these ongoing challenges, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our staff via email.
